Nothing can come out of nothing. King Lear (I, i, 92) I have began this blog to share and explore and listen to typographical ideas. WARNING. I may obscure and harass typography with no end.
I also feature other people who design beautiful forms and typefaces. The drop cap comes from a dedicated typographer/designer Jessica Hische, into making original and beautiful letterforms. I will also be looking at those who harrass and molest typography that is simply foolish/hideous/wrong.
In attempt to educate and enjoy a world with no typography wrong-doings, we will look at some of the most basic of rules.


Pretty simple, pretty simple to avoid. If you do however find yourself in a mess with straight quotes, Microsoft Word offers a complete guide on changing all your quotes to the correct quotes, right here.

If it doesn’t fit, it just doesn’t fit. Please do not stretch words to make shapes or to fill a landscape sign. Not only is this unattractive, but in no way pleasing at all.
Instead, try a variety of typefaces, styles, and fonts. Sometimes substitution is the way to go.
